About this book

Do you have what it takes to succeed at law school?

Law school is packed with overachievers. In fact, being an overachiever is practically a prerequisite. To thrive in law school, you have to be the kind of person who is always eager for the next challenge.

And, those challenges will be much easier to navigate if you show up prepared.

In Law School Uncensored, author Thomas E. Ladegaard shares the highs and lows of his own law school experience, as well as the wisdom of his twenty years of law practice. If you want to know what law school is like on the other side of the hype, and what it really takes to earn that coveted “Esq.” designation, this book is for you.

In this book, you will learn:

  • The inside scoop on applications, transfers, and the true financial cost of law school

  • A proven system for success—including study systems, test-taking strategies, and more

  • How to build strong relationships with professors (or at least not tick them off)

  • How to choose the right summer clerkship

  • How to effectively prepare for the bar exam

And, most importantly … what not to eat in the library!

Filled with practical wisdom and written with candor and dry wit, this book is an honest, been-there-done-that guide to surviving—and thriving—at law school.
